Album Stream: Danny Brown – Atrocity Exhibition

After 2 years of writing, Danny Brown is back with his latest effort, Atrocity Exhibition (named after Joy Division‘s album by the same name).  The project’s early trademark is its out of the box production concocted by Alchemist, Petit Noir and Black Milk.  Sonically inspired by bands like System of a Down and Talking Heads it also boasts appearances by Kendrick Lamar, Ab-SoulEarl Sweatshirt, and B-Real.  Listen below via Spotify.

Though Odd Future members are still on good terms, its members have recently admitted to its apparent dissipation.  Mike G apparently got nostalgic and shared an archived track recorded with Earl Sweatshirt in 2009. Produced by Left Brain,”Fuk It” recalls a time when OF was on the verge of poppin’ like a blister.

Earl Sweatshirt – “Solace”

Take a journey into Earl Sweatshirt‘s mind on the 10-minute project “Solace“dedicated to his mother, Cheryl Harris.  The two endured a strained relationship after she infamously sent him to a reform school in Samoa, but recently reconciled.  He describes the work as “music from when I hit the bottom and found something.”
